VT, Blob Loot

As Sceptered Isle continue to journey back to Vex Thal, the discoveries made and strategies needed become more and more. On SI's 3rd trip back to this zone it was a time to successfully kill their first mob and have CotH working so they can get from one place to another without too much time taken up.

First thing of the day was Blob1, also known as Kaas Thox Xi Ans Dyek.

Whats the best way to get there? Shoot the mage of course ...

Rengan shoots Cyrint for 1096 points fo damage.

Rengan says, 'Dead mage'

So with the mage, necro, bard, and rogue all working hard to get into position everyone just sat around chatting, waiting for the fun to begin.

A massive force knocks you into the air.

Everyone in the raid is flung up into the air and backwards.

Bender says, '< ( Dosi ) > IS CRIPPLED < / R E S P E C T \ >

Looks like dosi landed badly and hurt his ankle.

Bender says, '< ( Kaas Thox Xi Ans Dyek ) > IS CRIPPLED < / R E S P E C T \ >

Eventually the right target was under control, debuffed, tanked, and soon the all powerful wizards stepped up and began to nuke away at the gooey blob of gunk on the floor that had been given the akhevan name Kaas Thox Xi And Dyek which translates as Black Blood Of The Earth.

And so the battle continued for quite some time (9 mins). The blob was down and a few warders that blocked our way depopped. It was now time to admire the great loot that was in store for the guild.

So the raid waited at the blob1 spot whilst the rest of the CotH team ran off and got things setup for the next part. Whilst waiting however there is not much to do apart from chat and look at the surroundings. Looking at the decorative corners of the room I noticed the blue triangular and diamond shaped holes were filled with something other than a blue glass. It could only be described as a water effect. How it was being held in these holes was a mystery. Looking closer still the shade was going from dark, to a thicker texture and lighter, and then returning to its thin dark self.

Strange what you notice when told to stay in one place for too long.

So the raid continued. Under the guidance of the Raid Leaders everyone followed and did as they were told. Mostly sitting in corners and hitting mobs when they can running round the corner often chasing a monk or a rogue. It was then time to move once more, this time there was no CotH. So the raid followed, this time down some stairs ...

... and through a room with a suspended sword spinning quite happily away bathed in bright light emanating from above ...

And after getting so far it was decided we would have to turn back. The raid rushed back and managed to get back into a room where it was reasonably safe. However the repops had begun and whilst rezzing a few dead people the rest did their best to maintain the front line defence and destroy the spawns. Not sure if one of them had picked up the sword on their way but one happened to drop.

After this was allocated to the best person requesting it to improve their damage output whilst in VT, the raid moved onwards to their previous corner where it was thought someone's 2HS armoury was kept. It wasn't long before someone noticed a new delicacy of the zone ...

Ras on a Stick, tasty, yet somehow tastes like chicken.

But no matter what the zone threw at us we managed to succeed and everyone was seen to be having fun ...

Llamikins says, 'it is a magical mystery tour of fun and pleasure'
Shadowpuma says, 'what pleasure is Ras giving you Llams?'
Llamikins says, 'well .... erm .... *blush*'
Rasuphas says, '! What did I miss?!'
Llamikins says, 'true - men always seem to miss things'
Colal says, 'what did i miss'
Rasuphas says, 'Me pleasuring llams... I missed it too'

... but blink and you may miss it.

Well not after too long it was time for something else to drop for the raid force to loot. The North Tower Key was obviously something needed for future raids. Four had dropped and were allocated to the appropriate classes. It was then getting on quite late and so the AE TL button was pressed and away everyone went.

Keys, to help with the Sceptered Isle's problem with 'doors'.

Until next time ...
